Cooking Time
Calculate cooking time based on weight.
Explanation
Don't ruin your roast or chicken! Cooking time depends on the exact weight of the meat. ### Golden Rules (Oven 350°F - 400°F) - **Chicken**: 20-25 min per lb + 20 min. - **Beef (Rare)**: 15 min per lb. - **Beef (Medium)**: 20 min per lb. - **Pork**: 25-30 min per lb. ### Internal Temperature The only way to be sure. Use a probe thermometer. - Beef Rare: 125°F. - Chicken: 165°F (Safety mandatory). - Pork: 145°F. ### Resting Always let meat rest 10-15 min under foil after cooking. This allows juices to redistribute.
Examples
- Chicken 4 lbs: (4 x 20) + 20 = 100 min (1h 40m).
- Roast Beef 3 lbs (Medium): 3 x 20 = 60 min.
